HealthSouth Harmarville Hosts Determination Dash 5K for Community and Former Patients

HealthSouth Harmarville Rehabilitation Hospital is hosting its inaugural Determination Dash 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. In recognition of the hospital’s mission of returning patients to their optimal level of independence, this race is open to runners of all abilities and hand cyclists.

“We’re excited to see some familiar faces and there will be tears of joy and pride as some of our past patients cross that finish line,” said Lisa Hopkins, OTR/L, rehabilitation liaison and event planner for the event. “We’ve named this event the Determination Dash in honor of our patients and the determination put forth in their recovery and therapy every single day.”

A post-race party will follow the event with food and drink, music and vendor tables.
